New Delhi: A migrant workers’ bus overturned in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj. Thirty-five workers were injured in the accident and the condition of three workers remains critical. The condition of the remaining injured workers is being reported out of danger. The accident is said to have been caused by flat tires. The bus was traveling from Jaipur to West Bengal in the Nawabganj area of โโPrayagraj. First aid is being provided on the spot and the critically injured are being rushed to hospitals.
The lockout has been going on in the country since March 24 due to the corona crisis. The plight of migrant workers due to the lockout is increasing day by day. Disturbed by the situation, the workers have been forced to flee. So far, many workers in the country have been killed in road and train accidents while traveling.
In Oreya, 24 workers were killed
A few days ago, 24 workers were killed in a road accident in Oreya, UP. At least 35 people were injured. The Yogi government then announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh to the relatives of the deceased. At the same time, both SHOs of the border were suspended.
