New Delhi | The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release the datesheet for class 10th and 12th board exam, which were postponed due to the coronavirus lockdown, on Saturday at 5.00 pm.
“Datesheet for CBSE Board Examinations for Class 10th and 12th to be released today at 5.00 pm,” said Union Minister for Human Resource Development Ramesh Pokhriyal.
The CBSE was not able to conduct class 10 and 12 exams on eight examination days after the government announced a nationwide lockdown to check the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The HRD Minister had earlier announced that the CBSE would conduct the class 10th and 12th board exams from July 1st to July 15th.
“The students have been impatiently waiting for the schedule for pending exams. It has been decided today that the exams will be conducted from July 1 to 15,” he had said earlier.
The CBSE will conduct the class 10 board exams only for the students of north Delhi while it will conduct the exams of business studies, geography, Hindi (Core), Hindi (elective), home science, sociology, computer science (old), computer science (new), information practice (old), information practice (new), information technology and biotechnology for class 12 students.
Later, the CBSE had said that it was prepare to conduct board exams for class 10 and 12 pending due to the lockdown in wake of the COVID-19 situation in the country. It had said that the exams will be conducted for 29 subjects crucial for promotion and admissions to undergraduate courses, at the first possibility while adding that the students will be given at least a 10-day notice before exams are conducted.
“States have been asked to start the evaluation process for the exams already conducted and have been advised to facilitate evaluation of answer sheets. The CBSE will also issue instructions for marking or assessment of non-important subjects not included in the list of 29 subjects,” a CBSE official had said.
