Degrees of 30,000 teachers and students will be recognized

New Delhi: The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) on Friday provided relief to about 30,000 teachers and students undergoing teacher training courses from the Center and state government agencies. All of these degrees are now recognized.

The NCTE had canceled the degrees of these institutes for running these courses without accreditation. As a result, the future of all of them was at stake. Among the 30,000 people there were about 17,000 working teachers and about 13 students.

Meanwhile, the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE), an organization affiliated to the Ministry of Human Resource Development, has issued a notification to all 23 such institutions in the country to provide teacher training to the students of teachers conducting these courses before the academic session 2017-18. Associated degrees are recognized.
