Heroin from Pakistan seized across the border

Heroin is being smuggled on the Indo-Pakistan border on a daily basis. The trade is being carried out by Indian and Pakistani smugglers. The latest news related to heroin is coming from Khemkaran in the border area of โ€‹โ€‹Punjab, from where State Narcotics Cell Tarn Taran in collaboration with Border Security Force 116 Battalion conducted a search operation across the barbed wire fence near Pillar No. 166 / 14-15. 8 kg and 60 grams of heroin in bottles were recovered.

Disclosing this here today, State Narcotics Cell Tarn Taran and Border Security Force officials said that the value of heroin seized from the border in the international market is in crores of rupees. He said that at present an attempt was being made to find out to which smuggler the heroin was to reach India.
