Sawinder Kaur, Kolkata, May 24:
On the one hand, the corona virus has made its mark all over the world, on the other hand, various states in India, which were already affected by the corona virus, have been hit by Hurricane Amphan. Hurricane Amphan has wreaked havoc in recent days. In the Purnodas Road area of South Kolkata engaged in relief operations today, Captain Vikram said that due to the cyclonic storm in Kolkata, many trees have been uprooted and power lines have also been broken.
The roads are being cleared by removing them. Let it be known that crores of rupees have been lost in West Bengal so far. Yesterday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced Rs 1,000 crore for the cyclone-hit area, while West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee issued a statement saying that the state had to spend Rs 1 lakh crore due to the typhoon. More than 80 people have been killed and thousands left homeless.
