Meanwhile, a drug has been developed by a lab in China. The lab believes that this medicine has the power to stop the corona epidemic.
The drug is being tested by scientists at China’s renowned Peking University. Researchers say the drug not only helps corona infected people recover but also provides short-term immunity against the virus.
Sunny Zhi, director of the university department at the Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Geonomics, told AFP that the drug had been tested successfully on animals. “When we injected antibiotics into an infected rat, the viral load dropped to 2,500 five days later,” he said. This means that the drug may have had an effect.
The team’s findings, published in the journal Scientific Cell on Sunday, suggest that the use of antibodies could potentially “cure” the disease and shorten the recovery time. Zhi said his team has been working day and night to find the antibody.
