BEIJING (PTI): Six people were killed and 20 others were injured when a speeding bus crashed in southwest China’s Sichuan Province. The accident happened on Saturday when a bus heading from Zhejiang to Chengdu collided with the Central Guardrail on the highway and overturned.
According to the Xinhua news agency, 36 people were on board the bus at the time of the accident. Two died on the spot while four succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. Twenty people are being treated at the hospital, three of them in critical condition. Road accidents are common in China due to non-compliance with road rules. According to a survey, 90 per cent of road accidents in China in 2015 were due to non-compliance with road rules.
