The Divisional Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner cleared the train


Punjab Network: – The 10th Labor Special Train from Ferozepur carrying migrant workers left Ferozepur Cantonment Railway Station for Varanasi (UP) at 7 pm on Thursday, which was cleared by Divisional Commissioner Sumer Singh Gurjar, Deputy Commissioner Kulwant Singh. He left after giving. The train carried 750 migrant workers.
On the occasion Divisional Commissioner Sumer Singh Gurjar said that special trains have been run by the government to send the migrant workers to their home states. He said that more such trains would be run from Ferozepur district in the coming days and the migrant workers would be happily sent home.
Disclosing this here today Deputy Commissioner Mr. Kulwant Singh said that so far 10 special labor trains have been dispatched from Ferozepur to UP and Bihar to send the migrant laborers from different parts of Malwa district to their homes. He said that the government has so far spent about 61 lakh train tickets and sent the migrant workers to their respective states. He said that apart from this the district administration was also providing food packets, water bottles and masks to these migrant workers as per the guidelines of the government. During the departure of the train, the migrant workers on board the train applauded and thanked the government and the administration and expressed happiness over the arrangements made by the government to send them home.
