Today marks a significant milestone at the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, New Chandigarh, Punjab as the institution inaugurates yoga classes for its cancer patients. Held in the serene ambience of the hospital lawn, in front of the main reception area, the session witnessed the participation of patients of diverse age groups ranging from 12-year-old children to 70-year-old individuals, staff,
Dr. Gulia, leading by example, actively engaged in the yoga session alongside the patients. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the profound benefits of yoga for cancer patients. “Yoga,” he stated, “is not just a physical exercise; it is a holistic approach to healing. It aids in dispelling negative thoughts, bolsters courage, and imbues strength necessary for battling cancer.”
