ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ, 6 ਮਈ 2026- ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ (Punjab Vigilance) ਨੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਬਲਾਕ ਮਲੌਦ ਵਿਖੇ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਬਲਾਕ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਪੰਚਾਇਤ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਸੁਖਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੂੰ 15000 ਰੁਪਏ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਕਾਬੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਇੱਥੇ ਇਹ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਰਾਜ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਦੇ ਬੁਲਾਰੇ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਕਤ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿੰਡ ਸੋਹੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ’ਤੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਕਰਤਾ ਨੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਪਿੰਡ ਸੋਹੀਆਂ ਵਿਖੇ ਮਤਾ ਪਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਗਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੰਟਰਲਾਕ ਟਾਈਲਾਂ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਡ੍ਰੇਨ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਕਰਤਾ ਨੇ ਬਲਾਕ ਮਲੌਦ ਦੀ ਬੀ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਓ. ਸੁਖਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਕੋਲ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਕੀਤੀ , ਪਰ ਬਿੱਲ ਪਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ ਉਸਨੇ 15000 ਰੁਪਏ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਕਰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਕੇ ’ਤੇ ਹੀ 5,000 ਰੁਪਏ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਵਜੋਂ ਦੇਣੇ ਪਏ ਅਤੇ ਬੀਡੀਪੀਓ ਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਬਕਾਇਆ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ 10,000 ਰੁਪਏ ਵੀ ਜਲਦ ਚੁਕਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਤਾਕੀਦ ਕੀਤੀ ।
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਉਸਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਾਰਜਕਾਰੀ ਇੰਜੀਨੀਅਰ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਬੀਡੀਪੀਓ ਮਲੌਦ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਪੱਤਰ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਪਿੰਡ ਸੋਹੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੇਡ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਦਾ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ 2 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਪੰਚਾਇਤ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੱਧਰ ’ਤੇ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਧਰਾ ਕਰਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ।
ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਪੰਚਾਇਤ ਸੋਹੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਖਰਚੇ ’ਤੇ ਖੇਡ ਦੇ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਧਰਾ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਸੀ।
ਬੁਲਾਰੇ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਕਰਤਾ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਬੀਡੀਪੀਓ ਸੁਖਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਡ ਦੇ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਧਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਘਾਹ/ਝਾੜੀਆਂ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਬਿੱਲ ਪਾਸ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ, ਫਿਰ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਬੀਡੀਪੀਓ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਧਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਘਾਹ/ਬੂਟੇ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਬਿੱਲ ਪਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ 15000 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਇਸ ਸੰਦਰਭ ਵਿੱਚ, ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਕਰਤਾ ਨੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਮੰਗਣ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਗੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਦੇਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਕਰਤਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਯੂਨਿਟ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਕਰਤਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ’ਤੇ ਮੁੱਢਲੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਬੀਡੀਪੀਓ ਨੂੰ ਦੋ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਗਵਾਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਕਰਤਾ ਤੋਂ 15,000 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਦੇ ਥਾਣਾ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਰੋਕੂ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਤਹਿਤ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਦਰਜ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਅਗਲੇਰੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ।
Vigilance Bureau nabs BDPO red handed accepting bribe of Rs 15,000/-
The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) during its ongoing drive against corruption in the state, has apprehended Block Development Panchayat Officer Sukhjeet Kaur posted at Block Maloud, district Ludhiana, red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs. 15,000/-.
Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of the state VB said the above-mentioned accused has been arrested based on a complaint lodged by a resident of village Sohian district Ludhiana. Complainant alleged that the work of interlock tiles in the street and drainage of village Sohian was done by passing a resolution. In this regard, complainant went to meet the BDPO of Block Maloud, Sukhjeet Kaur, but instead of passing the bill, she demanded a bribe of Rs. 15,000/-, which he was forced to give Rs. 5,000/- as bribe on the spot and the BDPO also told him that Rs. 10,000/- is pending.
Furthermore, he informed that a letter was issued to BDPO Maloud by Executive Engineer Ludhiana that the playground in village Sohian was to be inaugurated, therefore, the Gram Panchayat was instructed to level the ground at its own level within 02 days. In this regard, the Gram Panchayat Sohian levelled the playground at its own expense.
He said that the complainant met accused Sukhjeet Kaur BDPO and talked about getting the bill passed for leveling the playground and planting grass/shrubs in the ground, then accused BDPO demanded the bribe money of Rs. 15,000/- for passing the bill for leveling the ground and planting grass/shrubs in the ground. In this context, complainant had recorded the entire conversation of demanding bribe.
Unwilling to pay illegal gratification, complainant approached the VB Unit Ludhiana. After a preliminary enquiry on his complaint, the VB team laid a trap during which the accused BDPO was arrested red handed while accepting bribe money of Rs 15,000/- from the complainant in presence of two official witnesses.
In this regard, a case under prevention of corruption act has been registered against the accused at VB police station Ludhiana and further investigation into this case is under progress.
